Digital Marketing Manager - Facebook Ads & SEO - Education Company (Remote)

Genie Academy

About Us

Genie Academy is a growing K-12 tutoring and enrichment company based in New Jersey, USA. We offer math, coding, reading, and abacus programs across 7+ locations. We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to own our paid advertising, SEO, and content optimization.

You will manage our day-to-day Facebook Ads campaigns, optimize our SEO and organic traffic, and drive lead generation. You will work alongside a Marketing Operations Specialist who handles the technical tracking (GA4, GTM) and CRM setup. Your focus is marketing execution -- running campaigns, creating creatives, optimizing for conversions, and reporting on results.

This is a hands-on execution role, not strategy-only. You will be in Meta Ads Manager and Google Search Console daily.

Key Responsibilities:

-Facebook/Meta Ads Management (~$4K/month budget)

- Manage 3 active campaigns across lead generation and retargeting

- Create, test, and rotate ad creatives (static and video)

- Optimize campaigns for cost-per-lead (current: $16.44, target: $12.00)

- Manage audience targeting, age segmentation, and geographic targeting (NJ area)

- Build lookalike and retargeting audiences from customer lists

- Set frequency caps and manage ad fatigue (retargeting frequency currently 14+)

- A/B test landing pages, creatives, and audiences

- Change landing page destinations based on performance data (location pages convert at 5-15% vs homepage at 0.03%)

Creative Production

- Produce 3-5 new video creatives per month (parent testimonials, student transformations, behind-the-scenes)

- Design static ad creatives using Canva or similar tools

- Rotate creatives every 2 weeks to prevent fatigue

- Brief and manage any external creative resources

SEO & Content Optimization

- Monitor Google Search Console for ranking opportunities and indexing issues

- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, and on-page SEO

- Core business pages (/programs, /locations, /contact, /pricing) are NOT indexed -- fix immediately

- "How to use an abacus" has 324K impressions but 0.05% CTR -- optimize for clicks

- Identify high-traffic pages with low conversion and add CTAs/lead magnets (e.g., riddles page: 10K sessions, 0 conversions)

- Conduct keyword research for buyer-intent terms

- Create and optimize location-specific landing pages

- Monitor and protect top-ranking keywords

Reporting

- Weekly report: ad spend, CPL by campaign, frequency, CTR by creative

- Monthly: CPL trends, audience performance, SEO ranking changes, recommendations

- Coordinate with Marketing Operations Specialist on cross-platform reporting

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Facebook/Meta Ads campaigns

- Experience with lead generation campaigns (not just e-commerce/ROAS)

- Creative development -- ability to produce or edit video and static ad creatives

- Experience with Google Search Console and on-page SEO

- Keyword research and content optimization

- Audience building: lookalikes, interest targeting, retargeting, exclusions

- Clear reporting and data-driven decision making

- Excellent written English communication

- Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Available for overlap with US Eastern Time (at least 2-3 hours daily)

Preferred Skills

- Marketing education, tutoring, or local service businesses

- Experience with geographic/radius targeting for local businesses

- Video editing for ad creatives (Canva, CapCut, or similar)

- Experience with Facebook Lead Forms

- Familiarity with GoHighLevel or HubSpot CRM

- Blog content optimization and CTA strategy

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
